'River and Coast: Red Gum and Rock: South Australian Landscapes' is a forthcoming joint photography exhibition by talented SA photographers, Ian Overton and Gilbert Roe.
This exhibition is presented by the Light Gallery, Centre for Creative Photography in Marleston and will run from 14th June to 18th July 2015.
Gilbert Roe and Ian Overton have worked independently, but in this exciting exhibition, their works will be showcased alongside one another. Both photographers offer their own unique take on South Australian coastal and river landscapes.
Ian's images of the Murray come from his work in river and water resource management. He is a scientist working towards improving ecosystem sustainability. The pictures describe the conditions and environmental stress that the redgums on the Murray are experiencing, as well as the inherent beauty of the landscape there.
Gilbert's images are part of a project of exploring our wonderful country, with locations for this small survey are Corny Point, Beachport, near Kings Beach, Second Valley, Middleton Point, Coffin Bay and the Coffin Bay National Park.
There will be an opening on Sunday 14 June at 3pm, with a welcome by Dr Matthew Colloff, Principal Research Scientist, CSIRO. Following the opening, the exhibition will run from 9am–6pm Monday to Thursday, 9am–5pm Friday and 10am–2pm Saturday.
