Tucked away off the main road and down Whateley Street is the unassuming . It is part motorcycle workshop and part ramen bar. It used to be a Mitre Ten store but thanks to architect and co-owner Heleana Genaus, it has been transformed into this gorgeous place. The workshop is on the lower level and the cafe is right next to it but split over two levels. The motorbike theme runs through the cafe and merges the two parts into one machine.

The ramen bar has five bowls of ramen on the menu. There is the breakfast ramen which includes Buttered toast bone broth, bacon, egg and tomato. There is also The Darkness (a dark broth), The Light (a lighter broth) and The Monk (vegetarian) which are available from midday. Then there is the kids only ramen, which has noodles, broth and two toppings.

Even though it's a ramen bar, it serves more then just ramen which was perfect as this visit I wasn't in the mood for a delicious steaming bowl! Instead I was in the mood for something more lighter, as it was later in the day and we were having an early dinner. So we decided to order Gyoza, Karaage Chicken and Chirashi for lunch.

The Chirashi was my favourite and it was a beautiful plate of Ocean trout, apple, cucumber, seaweed, avocado, shiso salt and koshihikari rice. All the elements worked perfectly together to create a perfect plate!
