Ever on the lookout for places with amazing atmosphere, great food and scenic views.

Need something simple and delicious for that afternoon tea, but you're put off by how expensive things are?

If you're disillusioned by increasing prices and the decreasing size or quality of today's sweet treats then read on. There is a place where this rule doesn't seem to apply.

Tucked away on Birkenhead Point's fresh produce level, Rise Bakehouse is a small business that sells the most amazing blueberry scrolls I have seen in a long time.

Baked fresh daily and drizzled with icing, these generously sized scrolls are less than the cost of a small takeaway coffee.

There is one problem with the packaging though. The paper bag they give you only just fits the scroll and if the icing hasn't set yet, you'll find much of it sticking to the inside of the bag. Depending on how much you like icing, this could be a blessing or a major disappointment

Not a fan of blueberry? That's okay. Rise Bakehouse sell a variety of scrolls, pastries and cakes. They have something to satisfy sweet tooth's of all ages. For people just looking for a decent bread roll, loaf or even a sourdough baguette not to worry, Rise Bakehouse sells those too!

So if you happen to be in the area, why not stop by this great little place and see for yourself.
