If you are looking to add some sizzle to your life? Then look no further, as I may have found the solution for you. Rio Rhythmics is a Latin dance academy that offers lessons as well as social dance parties.

Unconvinced? Well I was too. However, I went along with a friend of mine and attended a couple of short courses in salsa and bachata. Although I went in a little dubious, I have come out with a newfound enthusiasm for Latin dancing and everything it has to offer.

[ADVERT]In addition to learning some awesome new skills, I have found a fun way to keep in shape, meet new people, and generally add some sparkle to my weekends. Dancing is the kind of thing you can take with you anywhere to shake things up, and Rio Rhythmics provides you with the tools you need to do this. Let me assure you - once you have tried this experience out for yourself, there won't be any more dull Saturday nights wondering what to do.

The dance academy offers lessons in a variety of Latin dance styles; a few examples of classes are salsa, samba, tango, achata, merengue, gafieira, zouk-lambada, forró, bolero, and bossa nova. Simply pick the style you think you might be interested in learning and give it a go.

If you are feeling a little overwhelmed by the selection and are having trouble deciding where to start, Rio Rhythmics offer "variety" courses that give you a taste of a few different styles. The "variety" courses are almost like a "try before you buy" system so, depending on your preference, you can then decide to engage in another course in that specific dance style. The times and lengths of classes vary so you should be able to find a course that fits into your schedule perfectly.

What I really loved about this experience was not only learning a new way to dance but also being able to practice my salsa steps in a fun and relaxed environment. The dance parties held by the academy give you a chance to explore your dancing potential as well as interact with other people who are also there simply to have a great time. Dance parties are held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Once again, the different styles and times do vary, so just pick your style and find the time that works best for you.

There are all kinds of people of different ages and dancing backgrounds that learn how to dance at this establishment. This goes to show that you are never too old – or young – to start having fun. Additionally, Rio Rhythmics is in the heart of West End so there are lots of trendy cafes and restaurants to venture out into when you have danced yourself out for the night. So now that there are no more excuses, please don't just take my word for it. Go along, have some fun and impress all your friends with your new dance moves.
