I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

The boutique wines have been made on site by the Holm family since 2005. The tastings and sales are conducted in the barrel room at the modern clean winery. We were lucky enough to be hosted by the very knowledgeable
Julie Holm, who is a passionate foodie and winemaker who clearly loves the area. She led us through a very relaxed tasting session whilst chatting with us about food, wine matching and the history of the winery.

After the tastings, we took a seat on the verandah to enjoy the views and a delicious platter of locally produced gourmet delights with a glass of our favourite drop. Julie's homemade bread was fantastic and was complemented by Milawa cheeses, The Homestead Estate olive oil, Mt Buffalo olives, smoked meats, homemade mango chutney, hummus, nuts and fruit.

Our experience at Ringer Reef Winery was akin to having lunch and drinks with a friend and was a great way to refresh ourselves for our afternoon cycle trip to Bright. The wines are only available at the cellar door, in limited quantities in local stores and by mail order. The cycle-friendly winery is just off the rail trail on the left side if you are travelling towards Bright. They hold occasional
musical events on the lawn and small functions of less than 20 people can enquire about a group booking.
