[ADVERT]If you have a mountain bike, then you can ride just about anywhere. Leeman is probably a location that would be the last on any mountain bikers list, but to my surprise Leeman has a few trails that were designated for four wheel driving. In my books, if a 4x4 or a motor cross bike can ride it, then so can a mountain bike!

Of course you have to go off the pathway, and be a little adventurous. However, Leeman is a great location for the newbies in mountain biking as it offers a range of basic skills which just help you become more confident on the bike.

On the southern side of Leeman by the caravan park you will find an approximate three kilometre square trail that contains a mixture of "cobble stone" type pathways, soft beach sand (for technical moves) and a few semi-single tracks to add diversity to the course.

On the northern side of Leeman you will find a number of tracks that weave in and out of the natural vegetation, and then swing close to the coastal terrain. This area is great for learning semi-single track riding, riding over smaller obstacles (or between obstacles), up little inclines, and over soft sand. While each route links into each other, there are a few trails that I found the soft beach sand just too thick to ride through. However, with a quick jump off the bike and a short walk, you are quickly through the "sand bog" and on harder soil.

So if you have a mountain bike, you just have to take it along. There are tons of trails in this area, and I only uncovered two small ones. However these two were loads of fun and I would quite easily travel back to find more.
