It was a lovely Spring morning when we set off from Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills in Richard's 14 seater mini-bus. The bus features leather seats, DVD screens, speakers and lighting, so we were in for a treat before we even started.




The organiser of the group had his own USB, so that got us going with karaoke singing on the way to the Barossa. Alternatively, Richard had karaoke and music DVDs on hand to play.

We progressed through the city to the Northern Expressway and a pleasant drive through Gawler, with our first stop being Keis Winery at Tanunda. This winery, which has free tastings, also features a souvenir shop and several of the group bought up here.





Everyone agreed - Kies was great!



The next stop was the Tanunda Hotel, where we had a pleasant pub-style meal followed by some time shopping in the main street.











The last stop was Chateau Tanunda where we spent some time wine tasting and discovering more about the history of the area.
