On a recent visit to the epic Space Kitchen in Woden, we were told that they have another place in Jamieson - . It was a place that I had never heard, so it was surprising that, Ricardo's was the first cafe that pâtissier Ricardo De'marco opened, and Space Kitchen was next.



serves most of the things that Space Kitchen does but also has its own twist on menu items. For example, instead of a unicorn waffle, they have an amazing raspberry breakfast waffle with mango cream, apple gel, passion fruit curd, and boysenberry mascarpone. With so many colourful looking elements in the dish of varying textures, it looked almost too pretty to eat.



Ricardo's take on the smoked salmon is also different to the Space Kitchen. Their version includes smashed pea and ricotta cheese, dukkha nut mix and creme fraiche. It was super delicious!

However, I was disappointed that I couldn't try all of the amazing items on the menu, as well as the Zumbo-like deserts in the cabinet, so I suppose we will just have to go back to try them all!
