Ribs and Rumps has a great offer going at the moment where if you sign up for their loyalty card you will receive a voucher for $30 off your meal. It was too tempting to pass up.
The restaurant and bar is located in two spots in Brisbane – the HQ Complex in the Fortitude Valley or where we ended up on Railway Terrace in Milton. The decor is ultra-modern and the seats are oversized.
We went for lunch and could have selected something off of the express lunch menu which is from 12 to 3pm. All of these items were $20 or under. The place seems to be a popular choice for workers in the area who pre-order their lunch.
The regular menu has a good selection of beef to choose from including wagyu, grass fed beef, or marbled angus beef. You could start your meal with bread or a share plate. There is tempting salads, rumps and ribs of course, steak how you like, chicken parmigiana, salmon, lamb rump and wagyu beef burger.
My dining partner decided to order the great southern eye fillet (MS 100% grass fed from South Australia) topped with beef ribs and chilli corn. For the true ribs and rump experience. He said the steak was perfectly cooked.
I ordered the grilled snapper with seasoned fries, caprese salad and tartare sauce. My fish was cooked just right and the serving sizes were generous. I would have liked to try the sorbet for dessert, but couldn't fit it in.
Parking was restricted, so you may like to take the train as the station is just next door.
