I am a freelance copywriter and content strategist, who has been designing and writing website copy for more than 15 years. I hold a Diploma of Information Technology (Systems Admin/eCommerce) and have studied Professional Writing and Journalism.
On Sunday the 17th of August the South Brisbane Federal Band, or the Feds as they are affectionately called, invites you to join them at Newstead Park as they bring you rhythms in brass from around the world.

Featured musical styles will include:
Maramba Blue
Norwegian Dance
Children of Sanchez.

I love big band music in general and there is nothing that tickles me, quite like a good brass band and some world music to enjoy. I think that this event promises an incredible afternoon of music.

Event organisers have noted that there will be limited seating available on the day and audience members encouraged to bring picnic rugs or chairs to sit on.

Formed in 1912, "the Feds" are a longstanding, Brisbane based Brass Band who regularly compete at State and National levels. The Feds can be seen performing as a part of the Brisbane City Council's "Bands in the Park" program and also host concerts of their own.
