The Rhodes Waterside Shopping Centre is popular for many things, but what draws the crowds is the IKEA Store. This has become more pronounced recently that despite mall security trying to enforce social distancing, there was a very long queue and unfortunately, many people were just oblivious of physical distancing. To avoid the mall-going crowd yet having the mall conveniently within a short walk, take a stroll along the Rhodes foreshore of the Parramatta River. If you've got kids, it is also a good idea to bring along their scooters or bikes.

The is a mixed-used paved path shared by strollers, joggers, and bikers. It offers a good view of the Parramatta River, the shoreline of Wentworth Point on the other side of the river and beyond. The walk is just a little more than a kilometre.

It is not difficult to find too. Just go out of the Rhodes shopping centre and cross Rider Boulevard. Any of the pedestrian walkway that runs perpendicular to the shopping centre leads to the water. Walk towards the Parramatta River, you wouldn't miss the foreshore walk.

Locals and non-locals alike get their dose of exercise and some sun at the . If you have no plans of visiting the shopping centre, you can go straight to the foreshore-- there's usually plenty of street parking available in the area.
