Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans - John Lennon
Looking for a (free) dose of artsy inspiration?
Yesterday I attended the opening night of Alyssa Choat's exhibition at the Carlton Project Space. Carlton Project Space is a new event space located on Carlton Street in Chippendale (Central Park), and it will be hosting various exhibitions by staff from the UTS School of Design over the next few months. So anyone who is looking for a dose of artsy inspiration, feel free to check out this space!
Frankly I do not know very much about design or fashion, but I like to think that I have an eye for aesthetic. Nevertheless, I shall refrain from commenting lest I embarrass myself by exposing my limited knowledge about the arts, so I will let the photos below do the talking.
The opening night event included a half-hour performance showcasing 4 different designs. For detailed information about the designer, Alyssa and the exhibition, please visit this link.
Following the opening night, documentation of the performance will be presented in the project space as part of the ongoing exhibition. The exhibition itself is actually quite small, so I don't imagine you will spend a lot of time there. The photos above pretty much captured everything the exhibition is about, but if you would like to learn more and admire the designs in person, then I say why not?
