Hands down, one of the best music festivals in Australia
Return To Rio exceeded all expectations from the consistent music that was on-point, the festival crowd to the venue. It was a fantastic weekend of relaxation smothered with a great musical and festival vibe.

Welcome to Rio!

The atmosphere at Return to Rio was surprisingly mellow with a strong sense of community. This down-to-earth festival featured a 3-day festival of jam-packed upbeats with quality music including groovy deep-house, tech-house and techno.

Crossing the Hawkesbury River...

The Lineup:

The spectacular lineup featured All Day I Dream residents Hoj and Robert Heart and Mayan Warrior princess Oona Dahl, Skream, Superfreq, Mr. C, Sasha, Lee Burridge, Roni Size, Greg Wilson, The Late Night Tuff Night, Blond:ish, Cid Inc, and Tara Brooks.

Fancy Dress:

The Fancy Dress was a major element to the festival, going hand-in-hand with the music. Almost all the attendees were fancy dressed with costumes ranging from animal onesies, colourful tutu's, crazy face and body paints, and everything else you could imagine!

The Accommodation:

The well-maintained venue included:

Glamping: This luxury version of camping included all-inclusive, hassle-free camping package. You simply arrive to the Festival and everything is taken care of from not finding a camp spot, setting-up to packing-up when you leave.

Breathtaking views surrounds the Festival venue...

Camping: This adventurous and fun accommodation option featured many spots with different scenic views around the site. There were both powered and unpowered spots.

Camping with a view...

Our ticket included camping. We pitched our tent across from the picturesque Hawkesbury River in the camping grounds which was a stone's throw away from the main stage and eateries.

We are all set!

Motohomes, Campervans and Caravans: This vehicle accommodation option allowed you to feel at home and spots include both powered and unpowered.
Houseboats: This fun and different accommodation option included floating downstream as you enjoyed a peaceful spot to moor up.
Tepee and Cabins were also available as accommodation options.

The Venue:
Return to Rio was held in the Del Rio Resort, Wisemans Ferry, just a little over an hours drive from Sydney. There was ample room for camping. There were plenty of shady trees to relax under, and surprisingly the bathroom facilities were always clean.

Enjoying some relaxing time by the Hawkesbury River

Overall the experience was certainly a unique music experience with great vibes, delicious food and spectacular atmosphere of relaxation and fun.
Return To Rio Music Festival is certainly one Festival that must be experienced at least once.

See you next year at Return To Rio!
