After a long awaited re-development, it's finally time to come and celebrate the official opening of the reborn Hanson Velodrome this November.
This grand "Return to Hanson Velodrome" event is being presented by Bikesport Australia and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield after a long-awaited restoration and upgrade of the velodrome and its surrounds. There'll be track cycling all day long, including all grades of senior and junior racing while the Australian Olympic track cycling team will show everyone just how fast the new velodrome is!
All the events are free to watch. The program includes the 'Port Adelaide Enfield Wheelrace' over both 1500 metre and 1200 metre lengths, scratch races and heart starters. So there'll be plenty of action on the track while food trucks and market stalls will be popping up nearby to provide some off-track action.
Don't miss the return of competitive cycling to its original home at Hanson Reserve on Saturday, 9th November from 2 pm - 9.30pm. Hanson Reserve is in the western suburban heart of Adelaide near Hanson and Regency roads in Woodville Gardens. Event info and entries here.
