Party all weekend on Smidmore St
The new and improved Marrickville Metro is celebrating its first birthday with the inaugural Retro Metro Festival!

On the weekend of 2 and 3 July, Marrickville Metro is lacing up the roller skates, dusting off the jukeboxes and bringing back the disco fever for some old-school nostalgia.

Over two jam-packed days, the Centre and its retailers will be transformed with jukeboxes, pop-up arcade alleys, and so much more!

Come along with the whole family and discover a diverse range of retailer offerings combined with a sensory exploration through art, music, and entertainment.

From 9 am each day, there will be a host of free events, performances and activities for all ages to enjoy. After a day of celebrations, relax and dine at one of Marrickville Metro's diverse and delicious restaurants or get groovy to the live music which continues after 5 pm.

With the beloved centre growing last year, it signalled the start of a new era - one that quite literally bridges the rich cultural history of the Inner West, with the diverse and urban lifestyle that it has become known for. The Inner West community welcomed the new side of the centre with Coles, new restaurants and shops like Harry Hartog Bookseller, Hypmotive and Wileaway - with open arms. It's time to thank them by throwing the party of the year!

Head to the Retro Metro Festival at Marrickville Metro for an unforgettable weekend of fun!
