Run away to The Melba Spiegeltent to see death-defying acts by Casus Circus ensemble in 'Restrung' at Melbourne Fringe Festival. Book your tickets here
Hailing from Queensland, this ensemble from Casus Circus is super hot and superhuman. Restrung is a reboot of Casus Circus previous successful show Knee Deep. Five acrobats explore the boundaries of the human condition through physically demanding acts of acrobalance, aerial ring, straps and tissu.
Beware: there is no safety net in this performance.
The performance is both beautiful and bold, as we see the extremes of the human condition, from vulnerability to immense strength and empowerment. Standouts were Natano Faanana body percussion influenced by his Samoan heritage, Jesse Scott's amazing acrobalance with wine bottles and two dozen eggs, Kali Retallack's hoop contortion, Lachlan Mcauley's flying and tumbling agility and 'Strong Woman' Abbey Church amazing core strength.
This pool of immense talent cumulates in an amazing show suitable for the fearless and fearful, children and adults. You can always know when a show is good when the adults are 'oohing' and 'aahing' as much as the kids.
So don't miss Restrung and Tolu by Cacus Circus at The Melba Spiegeltent in Collingwood on now until Sunday 25 September.
