Event:

'Rest in Pieces' is the whimsical name of a series of one-day introductory taxidermy workshops.

These unique interactive workshops allow one to discover the art of taxidermy in a relaxed and engaging environment.

In this day-long workshop, which runs from 9.00am to 7.00pm, participants get up close and hands on with this age-old practice, which remains macabre to some, and yet strangely beautiful to others.

On the day, everyone will be given their own mouse to work on as they are guided step-by-step through the correct technique and process to skin, preserve and mount a standing specimen.

Everything is supplied, including mouse, tools, aprons, lunch, great company and a glass of bubbles to celebrate the end of what promises to be a day like no other. You'll even get to take home your very own standing mouse.

All you need to bring is an open mind and a camera.

The one day class is priced $500 and limited to 9 people.

Rest in Pieces will be hosting Taxidermy Workshops on the following dates:

Wow. That would be incredibly interesting, but I don't think I would be able to stomach my lunch after playing with mice all day lol. What a cool little workshop though!
