As churches go, Resolved may surprise you. There are no vaulted ceilings or priestly robes, but there is a pub downstairs and $10 steaks. Resolved services are held every Sunday at 4pm at the Roxbury Hotel in Glebe.
People from all walks of life are welcomed at Resolved, the congregation fluctuates between about 30-45 people. Whatever your experience or lack there-of with the church, the people at Resolved would love to see you and buy you a drink afterwards.
Resolved aims to be culturally liberal but theologically conservative, meaning faithful, bible based teaching without the high church jargon.
One of Resolved's particular drawcards, apart from the tight knit community and accessible teaching is its exceptional music. The congregation holds a repository of musical gems including the minister, who lends his own musical giftings.
Having the pub downstairs has helped create a social and relaxed vibe, with people usually sticking around for dinner after the service. So whether you're new in town and looking for an instant community, been a church goer for many a year, or just looking for somewhere to celebrate Christmas or Easter come along to a service at Resolved.
