Rocks and trees, trekking and bushwalking, fleeting views of Pittwater, aboriginal carvings and to top it off a hidden beach - sounds fun? Discovering hidden beaches can be immense fun and if the beach and the views are well worth the effort then its even better.
To access this beach you will need to reach Resolute Picnic ground near the end of West Head Road and hop onto the walking track. The track will lead you through Red Hands Cave where you get to see aboriginal rock art, a creek crossing, waterfall, vantage points and lookouts with spectacular views of Palm Beach and Barrenjoey and finally to Resolute beach after a steep descent. The beach welcomes its visitors with rocks and trees that shade the sandy beach and views across the water to Station Beach and of yachts sailing past and seaplanes taking off.
Its a great spot for picnic enthusiasts who dont want to be disturbed but be sure to expect a trek and carry loads of water.
