Hello Gamers. If you are like me and were a little disappointed with previous instalments of the Resident Evil series, mainly 5 and 6, but loved the first instalments, then Resident Evil 7 is for you. I was a bit sceptical about going into a new RE game, but they have delivered old school survival horror.

RE:7 is the first of the main series which chooses to put the player in a first-person perspective. This adds to the horror that you will experience throughout the game. Not so much your run and gun game, more of sneaking around and hiding from the terrifying family that have captured you for god knows what.

You will, however, get guns throughout the game but ammo is very limited. You can choose to make ammo to help you survive, however, if you create ammo, you won't be able to create strong first aid bottles. So what would you do? Gain the ammo to help you fight through or be more defensive and go with tonnes of health items.

Since the game is in first-person they implemented the Virtual Reality system into the game. If you really want a scare and to be immersed into this world, then VR will really give that experience to you.

RE:7 is developed and published by Capcom. They have listened to the fans and truly created a horror worth playing. The game isn't too long itself, if you play on the easy or normal difficulties, however, the madhouse difficult can make you put more time and effort into the game as you can only save using cassette tapes and a cassette player which are dotted in certain areas within the house.

You start the game as Ethan receiving a video from his missing wife Mia. She has been gone for three years and Ethan decided to find out why she left and is glad she isn't dead. Once you get the location and find your wife, that's when all hell breaks loose. RE:7 has a great storyline. I urge you to go buy this game. It's a lot of fun and will make you jump out your skin."Welcome to the family, son"
