Resident Evil 6 is the latest entry into the Resident Evil series of video games for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC which dates all the way back to 1996, when the first game entered the entertainment world. This particular game is definitely the biggest Resident Evil title to date, but definitely not the best one. By using different types of game plays for each of the four campaigns, Resident Evil 6 has some difficulties determining exactly what type of game it is. Most people would link Resident Evil to the Survival Horror genre, but with this game this is not the case.

The quick time events in the game could be a pain to get used to, since it will determine whether you live or die after the event. There are also too many cut scenes after only a couple of minutes of gameplay, which indicates that Capcom was going for a cinematic type of game, but did not achieve this goal perfectly. The game however would serve well for those gamers who are into action games, since this Resident Evil title has over the top action for the most part.

The game is definitely better than Resident Evil 5 since it has a decent blend of survival horror and action, whereas Resident Evil 5 was action packed from beginning to end. The game provides impressive visuals along with an intense storyline. At the end of the day, I would say that the game provides a perfect mix of horror and action for the casual gamer, but not enough horror to satisfy the series' long time fans.

My score out of ten for this game is a solid 8.
