The Reserve Wine Bar
Let the chef feed you a delicious five course meal with matching wines for $115 per head in the Reserve Wine Bar. Our evening began with a glass of sparkling wine which was followed by five well paced share courses complemented with a variety of wines.
The creamy baked Brie with pickled vegetables and sourdough was matched with a Margaret River Chardonnay that helped to cut through its richness.The simply named but complex tasting seafood stew was paired with a citrussy Tasmanian Riesling. This was a tasty balanced dish, the fish and calamari perfectly cooked.
Although quite full, we found room for quince and apple crumble with a choice of Muscat or sweet Riesling. We spent an interesting three hours enjoying the food and wine combinations. This style of dining is great for trying new tastes in both food and wine and we were pleased to find some novel interesting wines.
