On Saturday 21 September, The Queensland Choir is performing Vivaldi's charming and energetic Gloria and Dan Forrest's Requiem for the Living at The Old Museum. Tickets are now on sale.
Dan Forrest's composition has become a favourite with choirs all over the world. The premiere of the intensely moving Requiem for the Living was met with worldwide acclaim in 2013 and the sold-out Queensland premiere performance in 2017 earned the Queensland Choir a standing ovation.
A requiem at its core, the 40-minute, 5-movement choral composition is as much for the living as for the dead with the final movement, Lux Aeterna, portraying light, peace and rest.
The Queensland Choir is proud to perform
Requiem for the Living this spring at The Old Museum, on Saturday 21 September at 7:30 pm.
The program for the evening includes:
Gloria in D major, RV 589 - Antonio Vivaldi
Requiem for the Living - Dan Forrest
Featuring soprano soloist Annika Hinrichs and mezzo-soprano soloist Morgan Rosati.
Accompanied by Sinfonia of St Andrews and conductor Kevin Power.
Don't miss The Queensland Choir's performance of Requiem of the Living.
Tickets are now on sale, priced from $15 to $60, with concessions available.
