Replica premieres at Northcote Town Hall and is presented by Darebin Arts Speakeasy and Stephanie Lake Company in Association with CultureLink, Singapore.
Singaporean dancer Christina Chan and French dancer Aymeric Bichon together form a unison and perform wild, animalistic dance choreography, exploring the relationship and independence of each other.
Their dance movements are mesmerising as they entwine and share their intimate dynamic movements, all whilst taking us through levels of emotion and tension - friction and aggression, tenderness and love, independence and complicity.

The music is tribal yet electronic, hypnotic and rhythmic, a non-narrative story of the relationship between two lovers. Mutualistic symbiosis sees both organisms benefit from the relationship; parasitic symbiosis sees one creature benefit, while the other suffers.
We see the similarity and the difference, we witness the fascinating intersection of two people – two dancers who need each other to create the work but also rail against their intimate interdependence.
Replica consists of an internationally regarded team of artists including Robin Fox (music), Bosco Shaw (lighting) and Paula Levis (costume).
