A Repair Cafe is a place where you can bring your broken items for fixing and also learn how to fix them yourself with the help of expert volunteer repairers For FREE!

In May 2020, Campbelltown Council staff started working with interested community members and groups to establish the Campbelltown Repair Café. Since February 2021 the Campbelltown Repair Café has been running independently and is now completely community-led and managed. There is a Coordinator supported by a Coordinating Committee consisting of 4 lead members as well as volunteer repairers and support volunteers.

is held from 9.30 am- to 2 pm, 2nd Sunday of every month, at Campbelltown Memorial Oval, corner Lower North East Road and Darley Road, Paradise. There will be 30 volunteers offering their services as repairers, guides and administrative supporters. The types of repairs available on the day depend on volunteer repairer availability but may include textiles/clothing/darning, wooden, knife sharpening, mechanical/bicycles, jewellery, software repairs, locks/safes, soft toys/dolls/teddy bears.

Repair Cafe is also about reducing landfill, meeting new people, learning new skills, saving money, making friends and creating community. Please ensure that your items are clean and aired. Cash donations to allow the events to continue are appreciated. This is a community initiative supported by Campbelltown City Council and auspiced by Sustainable Communities SA .
