The benefits of raising your own chickens are numerous. It's good for the environment, they eat your food scraps, free eggs... However, it can be a tricky and expensive endeavour. Wouldn't it be great if there was some way you could try before you commit?

City Chicks understands this dilemma and has presented a solution. The green living organisation offers chicken set ups for customers to rent or buy. Choose from three packages that offer different coops with two laying hens. Pay $250 to get started and then pay an additional $35 per month to rent or $450 to purchase out right.

You can rent or buy a chicken coop by visiting the City Chicks website. The price includes delivery to your house, or you can pick them up from the breeding site to receive instruction on how to care for your birds.
