Yoga your way to your first novel
Calling female writers with a novel in mind: could you do with some help to get that book out of your head and onto the page? Would your writing flow more freely if you had peer support, maximum creativity and a relaxed environment free of day-to-day concerns?

If this sounds like you, join Relax and Write Retreats at Burleigh Heads on 8-10 November. Whether you're signing up for this year's NaNoWriMo or have a manuscript almost drafted, you can be sure that writer, editor and yoga teacher Edwina Shaw will help you 'super boost your writing'.
Edwina recognises that for women, there are many factors that can inhibit creativity, and she has developed this two-day yoga and writing retreat to help them find the heart of their stories and free themselves so that writing projects can flow and grow.

At the retreat, Edwina says, you'll 'connect with like-minded women in a beautiful location, be inspired by practical and informative workshops, stretch and relax with yoga and release your inner goddess dancing under the stars.'
The Burleigh Heads retreat will be held at CYC Burleigh, near Tallebudgera Creek and the beach, from 5.30 pm Friday to 1 pm Sunday. The weekend's program includes writing workshops, optional sessions of yoga and creative dance (with instructor Lalita Lakshmi), and free time to write or relax. Basic but comfortable accommodation and all meals are included, so you only need to find your own transport to Burleigh. Oh, and some extra coin if you'd like a massage from masseuse Monique De Goey during the weekend!
The retreat offers two streams, to support both NaNoWriMo participants and writers with an almost-completed book manuscript. Prices depend on the stream you choose. For the NaNoWriMo stream, twin share is $350 (single $400), and for the Feedback and Revision stream twin share is $400 (single $450).
Never heard of NaNoWriMo? It's short for National Novel Writing Month, an annual, internet-based project in which participants develop their creative writing muscles by signing up to produce a 50,000-word manuscript during November. Being part of an online community and having a deadline to work to can really hold you to your writing commitment!
If you have a dream of completing a novel but find that something always gets in the way, why not book your place at the Relax and Write NaNoWriMo retreat? Places are filling up fast, so don't delay. For more information about the retreat or to book your spot, contact Edwina on email@example.com as soon as you can!
