Plans for the city's iconic Moomba Festival in 2015 is already underway. Organised by the City of Melbourne, the 2015 Festival will be held 6 to 9 March, during the Labour Day long weekend (over four days, from Friday to the second Monday.
Held annually in Melbourne, Moomba is a cultural attraction celebrated since 1955 and attracts close to a million people each year. It is not only one of the largest free community festivals in Australia, it is also one of the nation's longest running community festivals.
Expressions of interest are now open till 30 September for performance groups, community groups and dance troupes who are interested to contribute to another successful year of Moomba. To participate, simply visit the website.
Moomba belongs to all Melburnians. Individuals, families, artists, athletes and community groups have been the heart of this celebration year on year. Now it's your turn to be a part of Melbourne's Moomba Festival in 2015.
Kew Community Festival will be 6-22 March 2015. Most events free including a spectacular Open Air Concert at Victoria Park on 21 March.
