Located in Regency Park on Days Road, Regency Tavern is billed as "Westside's Entertainment Centre", having not only a restaurant that offers pub-style food but also a bottle shop and slot machines. Aside from the dishes on their main menu, the restaurant also offers a few specials for those that like a bit of variety.
The pieces of squid in the Salt and Pepper Squid were of a good size and were not tough. The salt and pepper seasoning of the squid was just nice and the chips were fried to golden brown. Aside from a salad dressed in a delectable tangy dressing, the squid came with a lemon wedge and a tartare dipping sauce to add more flavour to the squid.

The portion size of the Chicken Schnitzel was very generous and the crisp coating contrasted nicely with the flesh. For the sauce, we chose the pepper sauce. It was not too thin but we thought it could have used a bit more pepper flavour. Other options for the accompanying sauce were gravy, mushroom and Diane sauce.

Their cakes can be ordered as a deal with a cup of coffee, making it a great way to finish your meal or as a small snack. The cake that was available during our visit was Banana Mania, which had layers of fluffy sponge, buttercream and bananas. While the caramel icing topping may suggest a very sweet flavour, it was actually not too sweet.

The restaurant had a very tranquil feel, with large windows overlooking parklands and a pond. There are special deals on certain days, such as $14.90 pasta on Tuesday nights and $17 lunch specials on Wednesdays.
