Supporting students in their training
The Regency International Centre at TAFE SA Regency campus not just delivers training in cookery, hospitality, bakery and butchery, but also features restaurants that are open to the public. Students receive training on campus through these restaurant facilities. The three restaurants are Graduates Restaurant, TIROS @ Regency, and Results Cafe.
The dishes at Graduates Restaurant are created with flair by the centre's commercial cookery lecturers and their students. The service is provided by its hospitality students under the supervision of their lecturers. The students that served us did a fantastic job, and we were quite impressed. No incidents at all at our table, but unfortunately a bottle was dropped by another student at another table spilling juice over herself and on the floor. Being a training facility, this is I guess somewhat expected at times. The food was presented well and tasted great. We ordered the pork and the duck, as well as a sago dessert and a chocolate mousse. Overall, we were very happy with our meal and would definitely return. As a bonus, the prices were extremely reasonable, and even more so if you have the Entertainment Card. Similarly for TIROS @ Regency, except that this is more bistro-style. Bookings for both can be made by calling 8348 4348.
Results Cafe, on the other hand, is a retail outlet selling food such as bread, cakes and patisseries, and beverages such as wine and beer all made by the students. For more information about up-to-date opening hours and the ever-changing menu, do visit their website.
