Heading to scenic Victor Harbour for a weekend escape? Or maybe just for a day trip? Either way, no visit to Victor Harbour is complete without heading over to Granite Island. And while there, the Reef Restaurant and Cafe is a fabulous bistro - as well as being a meeting spot for various walks, tours and being a gift shop, stocked with souvenirs unique to Granite Island.

Granite Island is a recreation and nature park, so you could easily spend a day there. So suffice to say a brunch, lunch or afternoon tea may be in order, or perhaps even a dinner prior to meeting for a penguin night tour.

offers a variety of snacks, both light meals and something more substantial, as well as a range of refreshments. It is licensed, therefore a beverage can be enjoyed while enjoying the ambience of the surrounding water.

Last time we were there seals swam nearby, not far from the rocks near our lovely corner table on the outdoor decking. This obviously is not always the case, but it further highlighted how lucky we are here in South Australia to be able to get so close to nature. There we were, eating our hot chips, while they scouted their own food.

We also had animal friends in the form of seagulls flocking nearby, but it just added to our outdoor dining experience. They were (relatively) patient and presumably they are used to patrons throwing them any left-overs, despite a sign warning against this, so perhaps do so only if you so choose.

Although, the food is so good, there may not be many of those.

is open from 10am seven days a week. Breakfast is served until 11:30am and Lunch and Dinner is available from their all day dining menu until late.

A beautiful location on picturesque Granite Island, it is really hard not to enjoy this well-located venue.
