It's not just the tasty 'All Day Breakfast' on the menu that has me writing this review, (mmmm avocado and ham and cheese blanketed in an egg and cream mixture and fried resulting in a pancake like filo), the view and the ambience of this waterside cafe is the best place for a relaxing weekend morning coffee.
Located in gorgeous Scarborough, The Reef Point Cafe is a bustling and happy place by the sparkling water. It is always packed with extra chairs doubled up with park benches by the path to create a seating area, where singers showcase their talent, creating a lively eating experience under the shade of trees.
The Reef Point Cafe is also dog friendly. Owners love to bring their best friend to breakfast with nearby parks and beaches for their four legged family members to play ball and get wet.
Last Sunday morning, my partner took me to the Reef Point Cafe for breakfast, and to my surprise they had a caramel cappuccino that tasted just as good as Zarraffa's. Something I never thought possible.
As we listened to the gentle vocals of two singers singing tracks better than the original by today's famous artists, we sipped on our coffees and ate our delicious healthy plates of toast, eggs, grilled tomato and bacon taking in the view of the Glasshouse mountains.
We watched as the tide came in, watching the reef slowly vanish under water. As I filled my tummy with coffee and toast, I watched jet skis buzz by, fisherman pull in their catch and joggers pass by swiftly with panting puppies on a lead.
Summer has arrived and the best place to enjoy the best breakfast, homemade cakes, muffins, salads and even fish and chips is The Reef Point Cafe, The Reef Point Esplanade, Scarborough
The cafe does get very, very busy on weekend, so if you would like to make a booking for your family call 07 3045 0604
