The Harbour Agency presented 'Reece Mastin' in his 'Wolf in the Woods 2014 Tour' with special guests 'The Kin' featuring members Isaac Koren and Thorry Koren on Tuesday 7th October at The Governor Hindmarsh.
His 'Wolf in the Woods' tour focused on the release of his new album He played old classics including 'Shut up and Kiss me', 'Good Night' and 'Rockstar' as well as some new material from his as-yet-untitled forthcoming album.
His new material is more rock then pop which went well with his covers of songs by Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, The Bee Gees and Michael Jackson. His new sound is best described as scream rock but was quite catchy and his fans seemed to love it. He welcomed a girl touring with him to the stage to take the lead in 'Good Night', Mastin likes helping out up and coming singers.Fans jumped when Mastin said 'Everybody jump' during 'Shut up and Kiss Me', but fans also seemed to enjoy new hits 'Wolf in the Woods', 'Beautiful Nightmare', 'Keep on Walking' and 'Sleep when your dead'.
The show featured many guitar solos where Mastin showed off his talent. He said he saved Adelaide for last as its his home and he went big, coming back for a three song encore with 'Sleep When You're Dead', 'The Way You Make Me Feel' (Michael Jackson cover) and 'Paradise City' (Guns and Roses cover).
If you loved Mastin's 'Wolf in the Woods' Tour then you'll love his new album featuring all the new songs fans heard during the tour. As yet a release date for the album is unknown, but Mastin seemed pretty excited to get it out real soon.
