Orchids do not eat the furniture nor dig up the lawn
Are you after a new pet yet don't want the responsibility of a dog, cat or even a goldfish? Consider then adopting an orchid. Orchids come in different shapes, sizes and colours, and you can leave them at home when you go away on holidays.

The Redlands Orchid Society Autumn Show on Saturday, 4th of May will provide the perfect opportunity to learn more about these magnificent plants.

Did you know that playwright and poet, Oscar Wilde, described the orchid as "beautiful as the seven deadly sins"?

Plants and potting accessories will be available for purchase with potting demonstrations throughout the day with experts on hand to answer any questions.



Doors open for this event at 8:30am on Saturday, 4th of May, at the Donald Simpson Centre, 172 Bloomfield Street, Cleveland. This facility is wheelchair friendly and off street parking is plentiful.

Entry is $3 per Adult and Children are free, with coffee, tea, and sandwiches available for purchase. Credit card facilities are available for plant purchases.



This event is a fundraiser for the Redlands Hospital Auxillary.

Note: Orchids do not need a litter tray, nor do they need to be fed or walked on a daily basis.
