American musician and songwriter, Willie Dixon, once said, "
The Blues are the facts of life, expressed in words and song, inspiration, feeling and understanding."
If you are up to a little inspiration from the music, pack your picnic rug or fold-up chairs and come along to
The Redland Bayside Blues Festival on Saturday, 9th of March. This event was cancelled last October due to a weather event and promises to be bigger and better than ever!
Gates open at noon, with music commencing from 1pm, allowing plenty of time to grab some lunch from the food stalls, with Bar Facilities opening at 1 pm. Make sure you wander around the market stalls too and there will be some child specific entertainment available for the little people.
This is a FREE family event, though gold coin donation would be appreciated for community projects sponsored by the Rotary Club of Capalaba.
Here's the line up of artists for the day:
1pm to 1:45pm
Vix and the Slick Chix
2pm to 2:45pm
Dale Robbins Band
3pm to 3:45pm
Brew'n the Blues
4pm to 4:45pm
BB Factory
5pm to 5:45pm
Dessie D and the Stingrayz
6pm to 6:45pm
The Kennedy Queens
7pm to 7:45pm
Minnie Marks
8pm to 9:00pm

Are you wondering about those fifteen-minute spots between band performances?
Wonder no more!
The Button Collective, a Sydney based folk band, will be ensuring that the music just keeps playing.
This is a BYO good behaviour family event, and no food nor alcohol can be brought on site. Being held at the Capalaba Regional Park, Pittwin Road North, Capalaba, no on-site parking will be available. Parking will be available behind the Capalaba Tavern.
Looks like a fantabulous day of entertainment, doesn't it?
Just remember: "%%Every bad situation is a blues song waiting to happen. .."
