At the end of Gray St in Redland Bay lies a hidden waterside park perfect for couples looking to escape the city, without actually having to leave the city.

Whilst this secret little sanctuary is spectacular at any time of day, it is perfect for a romantic breakfast picnic at dawn.



We arrived 20 minutes before sunrise and watched the sky transform from black to blue and all the way through to a vibrant red. With a cup of hot chocolate and an assortment of pastries it was a special moment that we didn't have to share with anyone.

The only life to be seen, was the pelicans drifting in the water and the seagulls flying through the sun's rays.

If you are looking to spoil your other half, remember this little spot, close by, but completely hidden.
