Redlands very own 'Ekka' - RedFest – is on over the Father's Day weekend of 4-6 September with yet another diverse program of entertainment amidst side show alley rides, spectacular fireworks and of course the succulent strawberries from the Wellington Point Strawberry Farm.



Based on the original Redlands Strawberry festival, RedFest mixes Ekka style tradition with modern entertainment.

Enjoy traditional fare:

Side show alley with its rides, sample bags
Animals, budgies and woodturning displays
Displays by the Redland Quilt Extravaganza and Spinners & Weavers.

And special shows:

- A colourful lantern parade on the Saturday evening
- The Quandamooka Showcase with artists, dancers and Elders providing cultural talks, artifacts, weaving, textiles and art for sale, large sand art displays, storytelling, jewelry making workshops, traditional song and dance performances and more!

A spectacular firework display will round off Saturday evening



Musical entertainment includes:

- 80's band Eurogliders featuring Grace Knight on vocals and - Bernie Lynch on guitar and vocals.
- Multi Aria award winner Wendy Matthews
- Jon English and Peter Cupples
- Diddly Squat Band - finalists on ABC's EXHUMED 2013 competition
- Mason Rack Band
- Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts

... and Emma & The Hungry Truth who are 'a sight to behold' with their musicianship and camaraderie being matched only by their fierce stagecraft and otherworldly aesthetic.

The group of six musical misfits are described as "Sharing a love of unapologetic theatrics, rock 'n' roll and a drive to find honesty through music".



Food is available to cater for everyone with of course plenty of strawberries and the famous Devonshire teas.



RedFest opening times are:
Friday 4th - 5pm-9pm
Saturday 5th 9am-9pm
Sunday 6th 9am-4pm
Ticket prices are $15 for adults on Friday and Sunday and $20 on Saturday. Children under 6 are free and from 6-13 years are $5 with other concession rates available. A Weekend Pass is $35 for adults and $10 for children.



RedFest is held at the Redland Showgrounds located between Smith and Long Streets, Cleveland. The main entry is off Long Street.
