Environmentally friendly scavenge hunt in Redfern Park
As a Nation, we celebrate our existence by many festive and community events. Nothing could be more fun than a Scavenge Event at Redfern Park, where everyone is welcome for a few fun-filled hours of trading trash items for cash.

About this event, which is supported by City of Sydney's Festival and Events Sponsorship Grant

** Hours are 9.00am through to 1.00pm
Location Redfern Park in Redfern Street, Redfern (easy to locate)
For every ten pieces of litter, you collect will earn you One Trash Token, which can be used at the pop-up markets or on pre-loved goods.
Great prizes for those Scavengers who go above and beyond with their finds. Bags will be provided by the organisers for your rubbish on the day.

There will be talks and market stalls showcasing work by local eco-change makers. If this event interests you, please register to become an environmental Ninja and share with others in making a difference to the community, while also cleaning up the environment.

You will need to bring the following:

A mask and clean-up gloves.
Water, sunscreen, sun hat and food
Bring a positive attitude and curious mind
Hand sanitiser will be available

While the organisers will be taking every measure to make sure this is a COVID safe event, they will also be keeping an eye on the latest NSW Government guidelines, and you will be updated if this changes. Please be prepared to show your vaccination passport and do not attend this event if you are feeling unwell or have COVID symptoms such as a cough, fever, shortness of breath of if you have been in contact with anyone who has been tested positive to COVID-19 in the past fourteen days. Another condition is that you have not been to any known hotspots in the same period as above.

If travelling by public transport, the Redfern Park is a quick ten-minute walk and the bus routes are 308, 309, 320, 343, 355. As this is a community event, photographs will be taken; if you do not want your photograph to be taken, please advise one of the volunteers on the day.
