It has taken some time, caused plenty of disruptions to local traffic and quietened business for seaside cafes and restaurants, but finally, the $20 million project has been completed and Redcliffe's Seaside Village will be alive with colour, dance and festivities this weekend.

Redcliffe Seaside Village has been transformed with wide boulevard-style footpaths, viewing decks, landscape, shopping and recreational facilities. To celebrate the completion of this brand new overhaul, The Moretan Bay Regional Council are putting on a fabulous weekend for the entire family called 'Fire and Ice.'

Kicking it all off on Saturday, November 26th, re-live the 70s disco era with a disco extravaganza, colourful street parade and exciting fire show and fireworks display.

A seaside ice rink will cool things down, and remain open to the public until December 11th.

On Sunday the 27th, come along the Sunday carnival with stacks of activities from the classic face painting to carnival rides and even Adam Thompson from Chocolate Starfish will be performing live. There will be the weekly Redcliffe Jetty markets, carnival rides, beach activities and street entertainers.

The entire weekend is absolutely free, so don't plan a single thing this weekend unless it is packing up the car and heading to Redcliffe. Join in the celebration!
