The kids will have so much fun you won't need to feed them
If you have kids and you want to eat out somewhere nicer than a fast food chain then take a look at Red Rock Noodle Bar. The restaurant at Para Vista is an absolute haven for parents with young children.
The restaurant has an extensive menu with quite a variety of Chinese and Thai food. One of the things I really appreciate about a visit to this restaurant is, while the kids have fun I don't have to consume typical 'kid fare', I can actually enjoy a good meal.
This is a busy restaurant, therefore if you plan to go as a large extended family group you may wish to make a booking, especially if you are going early as most families with young children eat around the 5-7 time slot. I certainly wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a romantic meal for two.
Now, while the adult food is a considerable the real reason for going is the food and entertainment for the children. The children's menu is sufficiently varied that the little ones can try some fairly plain Chinese inspired food, e.g. hokkein noodles and chicken, or they can go for the typical nugget and chips type foods. The portions are fairly large, neither of my children managed to consume the entire first course. They also have kid size drinks and a few desserts which were also large and could probably be shared.
In the centre of the restaurant is an enclosed play area, there are no ball pits so no need to look out for flying balls. The play area has equipment for climbing and sliding and it also has video games. While most kids have a quick look at the video games it is great to see the majority of kids really enjoy the play ground and soon make friends with other children there. The play equipment is mostly suitable for primary age children 10yrs and under. As the restaurant is an arc shape, the play area is within clear view of the majority of tables.
Go to the Red Rock at Glenelg adjacent to the marina. you can sit inside during winter and watch the fantastic beach sunsets or you can sit outside when its warm or not windy under the modern covered entertainment area overlooking the marina. Watch the dolphin cruise and other boats come and go. Its THE best place to go, easy undercover parking.
I love their sizzling mongolian beef, that's all I ever order now. Its fantastic. take your entertainment book voucher card and receive a discount.
