Red Rock Cafe on beautiful Coochiemudlo Island
Surrounded by natural beauty, and many of the colourful birds and wild parrots that Australia is famous for, Red Rock Cafe is one of those places that makes a great day out even better. Day trips to Coochiemudlo Island are already easy with an
8-minute passenger ferry ride or
20-minute vehicle barge ride, and Red Rock Cafe makes it easier still with friendly service and great food.

The menu at Red Rock Cafe is varied and includes all-day breakfasts, "Wed Wock Waffles" served with ice cream, maple syrup, and optional bacon. Seafood options include favourites such as tempura fish fillets, calamari rings, and salt & pepper squid. Red Rock Cafe also serves a range of 9" pizzas (as well as 11" gluten-free options), burgers, "buckets of chips", and kids meals.

Following my recent circumnavigation of Coochiemudlo Island by foot, I was also delighted to discover that they serve barista-made coffee!

They also cater for visitors who love a good coffee
Sitting behind a beautiful beach, on an island with no main supermarket, Red Rock Cafe also sells a few necessities for day-trippers and holidaymakers. These include basic food items such as sugar and canned soups, toiletries including shampoo, toothpaste, and hand sanitiser, fishing tackle, and kids swimming goggles.

Days out on Coochiemudlo Island can be idyllic. The island has a wonderful laid-back feel to it, and Red Rock Cafe adds convenience to days out on the beach here. Staff are also friendly, and I've found them to be very helpful for tourist information type requests as well. Next time you are on this beautiful island, why not plan ahead by not bringing anything, and stop in at the Red Rock Cafe instead?
