Brisbane's Most Romantic Destination
Billed as Brisbane's best kept secret and most romantic spot, Red Rock Café is situated on its very own island in Moreton Bay. We parked our vehicle in the car park at Victoria Point and caught the ferry across to the island of Coochiemudlo. A stroll along the beach took us past crabs caught in a romantic Coochiemudlo tango.
Red Rock Café is easily found by its big blue flags.

The cappuccino cheesecake was rather good. Quite a bit disappeared before I remembered to snap a photo.
Coffee and Cheesecake
The café was dressed in sea side colours. The palms swayed in the salt breeze. We could have been cut off from the world and yet were only an hour from the bustle of Brisbane.
A sensational view
The handbag-holding chairs were brilliant, our waitress friendly, the view stunning. There were local crafts to look at, you could indulge in some of that romantic gazing with your loved one, or look lovingly at the water through the window. It was serene and peaceful my thoughts slid to imagining a week on Coochie.
How clever are these handbag chairs?

On Wednesday night they open for an international themed cuisine dinner. Your culinary travel destination can be confirmed on Red Rock's facebook page. The weekend features Australian themed a la carte dinner on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday night's dinner is accompanied by a live guitarist strumming romantic tunes.
Come to Coochiemudlo
Come and enjoy this delightful place. Romance isn't just for the soldier crabs.
