What are your plans for the Queen's Birthday long weekend? How does supporting a good cause while being outside, active and spending time with loved ones sound? Well, on Sunday 7th June, Links Hope Island is hosting a fun run to raise money for the RedKite foundation and you can join in.

Whether you prefer a casual walk or a competitive run, there's sure to be an event to suit you. There are three events to enter on the day from a 5km walk up to a 5km and 10km run. Entry prices for adults are $30 for the 10km events and $25 for the 5km events. Children (10-17 years) are $20 and those under 10, free. You are encouraged to bring the bub along too as this is a stroller friendly event. Your four legged family member doesn't need to miss out either! Fun for the whole family while supporting a good cause. All entry fees include a healthy post run breakfast as well as a donation to RedKite. Participants are also encouraged to wear red on the day in support of RedKite.

Registrations are open from 6am, with a 6.30am warm up (with a personal trainer) and the events commence at 7am. The presentation and breakfast will start at 9am.



The location of the run itself is something a little different. Set on a beautiful, serene golf course in Hope Island, only 60kms from Brisbane CBD and 30kms from the centre of the Gold Coast, you can feel as though you have escaped. Compete against your personal best and complete the run event or walk through the tranquil surroundings in a friendly environment. A beautiful way to spend a Sunday morning (especially knowing you don't have to go to work the next day, for those who are lucky enough!).



Money raised will be supporting RedKite, an Australian cancer charity providing essential support to children and young people (0–24 years) with cancer, their families and support networks.
