The Red Hill Recreation reserve will again be awash with colour, movement and excitement as the annual Red Hill Agricultural Show shines the spotlight on the Mornington Peninsula during a one day event on the 28th of March.
The show is a wonderful community event that has a team of tireless volunteers who put many hours of work in behind the scenes to bring the wider community an enjoyable day out for all.
For the spectator, there is plenty to see and do for all ages with rides and show bags popular among the children, culinary treats and locally produced wine for parents along with all of the exhibitor demonstrations and stalls including alpaca, sheep and fleece, dog high scramble, cattle, rats, poultry, photography, cooking, art, flowers, vegetables and fruit, craft and locally grown avocados, olives, berries and cheese, which will be available to taste and buy on the day.
As well as all of the above ,there is the popular wood chopping event, working dog demonstrations, The MP News Group grand parade at 2:45pm, entertainment stage (bands and bar) 3:30pm-7:30pm, vintage car display, community stands and trade stalls which include a wide variety of food, wine, hand made goods, produce and more.
Entry to the show is $50 family (2A 3C), $15 adult, $10 student/concession/child, under 5 years old is free. Paddock parking is $2.
Whilst on the Peninsula, take the opportunity to visit some of the local attractions and wineries, traverse the rolling hills to the bays and back beaches and eat until your heart is content.
