For the 33rd year in succession, the Red Hill Kindergarten is set to present the on Saturday, 25 July, 2015, at Woolcock Park, Hawthorn Terrace, Red Hill, from 9.00am to 3.00pm.

Entry to the Fair is FREE.

On-street parking is available, but if you can't find a spot close enough – remember, you are going to be loaded up with goodies when you head back to the car – try the Brisbane North Institute of TAFE, Ithaca Campus, on Fulcher Road, where the parking lot will be available.

More than 8,000 people are expected to go through the park during this annual event. There could even be more, because this year is set to be the biggest ever, with more rides, more market stalls, and loads more family fun than in any of the preceding 32 years.

Commeth the fairground organisational requirement, commeth the man; and that man is Peter Irving, who has agreed to act as Master of Ceremony from atop the main stage in the centre of the park. Peter will be keeping all the fun of the fair coordinated and exciting as he works his way through the spectacular ensemble of entertainment organised for the enjoyment of all the fair-goers.

In particular, the kids are well and truly taken care of. They are going to be thrilled at the pony rides, baby animal farm, super-slides, and rock-climbing wall. There's also going to be the perennial favourites of face and nail painting, Ferris wheel, train rides, merry-go-round, jumping castle, and much more.

The best part for mums and dads is, for $27 pre-paid or $32 on the day, you can get an All-day Pass for the rides for each child. This will alleviate the need to be looking for more cash all the time, and provides the added bonus of keeping the kids busy while you enjoy yourself at the grown-up part of the Fair. Call Red Hill Kindy on 3369 4756, with your credit card at the ready, to order your cut-priced, prepaid, All-day Rides Passes for the Fair.

Another attraction for the younger set is going to be, Tim Jackman, aka, 'King of the Kids'. Tim is the pied piper of little people, and will have the very young and young-at-heart under his musical spell before you can say, 'Hickory, Dickory, Rock'. Tim's amazing show kicks off at 10.30am on the centre.

Before the King of the Kids gets under way, everybody will want to see the incredible show performed by the Bollycise Dancers, beginning at 9.45am on the main stage.

Then, as if Bollycise isn't tiring enough, you'll be able to join in with Queensland Cheer Elite on centre stage at 10.15am. They'll show you how competitive cheerleading is an amazing sport which not only builds strength and flexibility, but also self confidence and strong friendships.

Kids of all ages are also going to love the performance by the BUMS Big Band, which will include an eclectic mix of children's favourites, through to rock 'n' roll, pop music, and 1920's jazz. Ukuleles and vocals form the backbone of the band's sound. There is something for the young and the young-at-heart. By the way, when those dirty little minds start sniggering at the name, you can tell them it actually stands for Brisbane Ukulele Musicians Society.

Brisbane's own Georgia Mae will also be there singing her earthy, indy-pop tunes. Georgia Mae, who has a distinctive style of electronic pop, will be performing live at 1.30pm.

Enjoying all the free entertainment is no good without some stall-hopping for bargains among the boutique items of clothing you simply can't find anywhere else, and to get your favourite fair fare to savour as you enjoy the entertainment. This year, the Fair has over 40 stalls.

You may find this hard to believe, but there will be over 800 gourmet homemade treats, including chocolate fudge, rosella jam, coconut ice (my personal favourite), freshly baked cakes, jams and preserves. To help wash it all down, Merlo Coffee will be sending its CERT (Coffee Emergency Response Team) Van to provide Red Hill's best coffee.

Once midday passes, you can get more than a coffee from the Fair's bar. Enjoy a refreshing ale, vino, or some bubbles, and relax as you delight in the afternoon's entertainment.

The attractions don't stop at the rides, entertainment, stalls, and food and drink; just check out these incredible raffles. You will have the opportunity to take part in the Barrow of Booze and other great raffles, as well as the Art Union, the Silent Auction, and the Live Auction.

Don't worry about getting carried away with the bidding, the has its own ATM. When the food, bargains and auctions have cleaned you out, all you need is your plastic and all will be good again.

The is the only fundraising activity of the Red Hill Kindergarten, and all the money raised goes directly to the Kindergarten to enhance the classrooms and gardens. The Kindergarten, is a community kindergarten that has been educating Queensland children since 1956.
