Red Hill Kindergarten's only fundraiser event, the Red Hill Fair on Saturday 27 July 2019 from 9am to 3pm at Woolcock Park, 92 Waterworks Rd, Red Hill, is set to be a fun day filled with activities and entertainment for the whole family.
An iconic community event for Red Hill, Paddington, Ashgrove and surrounds, this is a major event that attracts over 8000 people each year. You'll find rides, petting zoo, trash and treasure, raffles, close to 1000 homemade gourmet treats, great coffee, burgers, a bar, lots of great stalls and more, thanks to generous sponsors.
If you buy your Ultimate Rides Pass in advance, for $27, it gives you unlimited rides from 9am to 3pm. You can also purchase from the Red Hill Kindy Office before Fair Day by calling 3369 4756, otherwise tickets are available on the day for $32.
Brisbane Airport will be bringing Benny their mobile information van to the Fair so be sure to pop in to hear all about the new runway set to open next year and what it means for Brisbane. This year also sees a designated secondhand bookshop filled with kids books, fiction, non-fiction and more; so book lovers, check it out. You never know what you might find.
Enviro Lucy Loo and Drip Drop - Queensland Urban Utilities' trio of planet-saving superheroes will be performing live at the fair. Make sure you're there from 12.15-1.15pm to catch the action. Ginger Sport will also be at the fair from 12pm-2pm entertaining kids for free! Dancing Danibelle is back again from 9.45-10am, so the kids best get ready to dance and sing. For lots more information and updates, be sure to follow the Facebook page.
Come along and support the Kindy which, while it receives some government funding, needs income to pay for general expenses, the balance of salaries for teachers and everyday operating costs. This supplements the warm and fuzzies like building and playground maintenance and upgrades, and new equipment and books. Secondly, the Fair provides a link with the community and shows our children they are connected to the local area. Hosting a fabulous day out helps promote Red Hill Kindy to the neighbourhood.
