In the pretty little town of Bangalow, outside of Byron, there is a tiny piece of Asia. Step through the doors of Red Ginger and find yourself in a beautiful Asian emporium.



Stop for a tea or some sensational dumplings, a mere $2.50 a piece. The smell was so enticing, I couldn't resist sampling the pork & prawn dumpling, even though I was just popping in for some tea. Had I not just eaten I suspect I would have worked my way through the broad range on offer.



You need to allow time to browse. You're bound to want to take some of the frozen dumplings and pork buns home with you for later. There's a huge range of leaf teas, as well as spices, sauces and cooking needs.



However, be warned, there's a dangerous gift section, with home wares and trinkets that are hard to pass up. Table clothes, tea sets, umbrellas, soaps and jewellery - you name it, if you potter around, you'll find it. Whether you can leave this beautiful store without taking it with you is a challenge!
