Red Eye Records

Published June 28th 2011

Red Eye Records is Australia's largest independent music retailer. Since 1981 they have been providing Sydneysiders with rare CDs, vinyls, collectables, even out of print records. Red Eye has the ability to hunt down and get you pretty much anything your music heart desires. Over the past decade Red Eye has grown an established internet mail order business to bring their services across the globe. Sydney is still home to their three retail stores.

Shop 1 recently relocated to 143 York Street and stocks a collection of new and used cheap products - CDs, vinyls, singles, posters, DVDs, books magazines - as well as a large collection of imports and local Australian music. Shop 2 is located upstairs in shop 1, and is all things metal, punk and gothic. There is also a great collection of horror and cult movies, fashion accessories and collectables. Shop 3 is mostly used products with tons of vinyl records for you to sift through and thousands of CDs. Not to mention the DVDs, collectables and much more.

All shops are open every day and most public holidays, except Christmas Day. Boxing Day and Good Friday. So whenever you get the itch to get your hands on great records or just hunt for that vinyl you've been searching for, Red Eye is waiting for you.
