Strap on a pair because it's time to take on the wild west
Here is a game that truly transforms one's perspective of the Wild Wild West of the United States of America.

Red Dead Redemption is a classic Western-themed video game that was released in 2010 and has received increased critical acclaim over the past couple of years.

Created by the same developers as for Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar Games has successfully provided the gaming world with a fantastic game that encompasses a dynamic storyline of an outlaw and an amazing cinematography of the Wild West, along with numerous side-missions that, in the end, bring the desired outcome to light.

Plot and Setting
John Marston is a former outlaw who travels to different towns in the Wild West, in a search for justice and freedom.

The game, set in 1911, spans over two fictitious towns in the US and one in Mexico, where Marston completes several missions and comes in contact with a diverse mix of characters - some of whom are going to be the biggest aid in his mission.

John Marston is the protagonist of the game. He gives off the vibe of a man of mystery - someone with a dark past and a determined attitude towards reaching a goal. He is a strong character - both physically and emotionally, and he seems to embody the perfect mix of the good, the bad and the ugly (retrospectively).

Red Dead Redemption has been rated M for its graphics - violence, blood and sexual content (among other things).

Red Dead Redemption is available for play on two platforms - Playstation 3 and XBox 360.

Red Dead Redemption can be played either as a single player or in multiplayer mode (online only).

This game is all about survival of the fittest in a time when not a lot of what we are blessed to have today was available to the local folk.

There is an underlying tone of loyalty, politics, and a wanting of personal freedom that is subtly presented in Red Dead Redemption.

Overall Review
Red Dead Redemption is the perfect virtual playground where we (as gamers) can experience a wealth of different scenarios, play with the best forms of weaponry that are ideal to the Western world; such as firearms, rifles, lassos; and simply get on a horse and ride into the wilderness.

Lasso-ing a horse in Red Dead Redemption

It is a great feeling when a task has been accomplished, as their difficulty level(s) are aptly challenging enough to make you try as hard as you can to get the job done.

The cinematography in this game is awe-inspiring. Considering the recent trend of making everything look as realistic as possible, the developers of Red Dead Redemption have outdone themselves in producing masterpieces and capturing the true essence of the Wild West.

Cinematography of Red Dead Redemption

There is a lot of dialogue with a fabulous variety of characters, and you can really hear the Western accent come true, thereby enriching this Western experience ten-fold.

And when you feel like you are getting worn out by the missions, you can always pop to the local bar and have a drink - this game has you covered!

Have a look at the launch trailer of the game and discover how this game will soon become one of your favourite past time activities.
