Australian Red Cross is celebrating
World Red Cross Day with a
Red Cross Expo at
Leederville Town Hall, 84 Cambridge St, West Leederville on
Saturday 14 May 2022 from 2-5pm AWST. All you need to do to attend this free event is
register here.
Traditionally, World Red Cross Day is celebrated on the 8th of May, however, due to
Mother's Day being on the same day, it has been shifted back a week. This is an event filled with a range of Australian Red Cross activities for people of all ages to learn about getting ready in case of an emergency and hear stories from volunteers who assist in times of crisis. Speak to a volunteer and find out about International Humanitarian Law, why we have them or war. Learn all about blood donations, including Microbiome donations; Migration; Membership and Community to find out what Red Cross members do and how you can become one.
There's a wide range of people waiting for you to have an interesting conversation with them about helping others. This is an event open to everyone from all walks of life who would like to learn more about the Australian Red Cross. A light afternoon tea will be supplied as part of this event. For catering purposes, it's important to register for numbers.
