is based nearby Bundaberg and their sole mission is to rescue dogs from death row and create an awareness in the public about responsible ownership of your dog.


was set up ten years ago by Sharon and Russell Banks who have devoted their lives to the rescue of dogs. During that time, over 4000 dogs and puppies have been rescued and have found a new life with loving families.


As soon as a dog arrives at the centre, they are microchipped, vaccinated and tested for heartworm. There are many wonderful local people who are happy to be foster carers while the dogs wait for their forever home. This also helps to find out more about the dog's nature, thus making it easier to match them up with their forever family.


There is an adoption process to go which includes checking to see if your home provides a suitable environment for your selected pet. There is a four-week trial to make sure everyone is happy.

is a non-profit organisation. Thus lots of fundraising by wonderful volunteers is necessary to keep functioning. Recently an op shop was opened at shop 3, 68 Mount Perry Rd, Nth Bundaberg, Qld. Opening hours are Tues-Fri 10 am-4 pm and Sat 9 am-2 pm. Donations are always very welcome. For the winter, old blankets and towels are especially needed to provide cosy beds for the dogs.
